Community Outreach Programs

The Community Outreach Program is a collaborative program that generates life-long learning through social, recreational, cultural and educational opportunities for citizens of all ages and stages of life with the goal of making Clearwater the “best place to live, work and play”.
The program will focus on assisting youth in building skills and abilities they need to grow socially and emotionally through expanded social, recreational and cultural opportunities and positive mentoring. It will also work toward strengthening and improving the wellness of our community by providing more opportunities for citizens to be active and involved. Our goal is to develop, deliver and facilitate comprehensive programs for citizens of all ages by identifying the needs of our community through surveys, community consultations and requests from our citizens. We hope to create a centralized hub of community activity through the utilization of grass fields, community ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, the skateboard park, the curling rink, the arena and the library. Through our continued collaboration with local agencies and services the program will build and strengthen our community development process.
The Community Outreach Program’s long term outlook is to build a foundation for future community recreational programs that will attract future economic ventures by developing policies, guidelines and networks for community programming.
